Next week at PACK EXPO, PMMI hopes to prove newcomers are a good idea by letting students showcase their creations in packaging and engineering.
Hosted by PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, PACK EXPO East is being held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, February 16-18. PACK EXPO East is the premiere processing and packaging specialty show for Northeastern manufacturers.
Booth #1067 is where students from Rutgers University’s engineering and packaging program will be presenting The Packaging Design Studio which demonstrates cutting edge packaging equipment designed by students, including things like automated loading systems and the future of packaging prototypes.
Sponsored by Vanderbilt University, the NFPA and the CCEFP, The Future of Pneumatics will be in Booth #858 showing off modern advancements in pneumatic tech like a demo of the pneumatic exhaust gas recovery system developed by the university. The recovery system can help businesses adhere to sustainability objectives by decreasing the air use of pneumatic actuators by up to 25%.
PMMI says these are only two booths showcasing just a few of many glimpses into the recent technology created by the new generation of packaging and engineering enthusiasts.
